Johannes Andreas (Henricus) Thonemann (* 05.09.1780 in Scherfede, † 02.02.1814 in Den Haag/the Netherlands), son of Mathias Thonemann (* 17.11.1734 in Scherfede, † 13.12.1800 in Scherfede) and Anna Maria Münekehoff (* 1746, † 02.01.1815 in Scherfede), is the founder of the Dutch branch of the family. On 21.11.1803 he married Alida Laagers (* 1777 in Speller/the Netherlands), † 10.12.1852 in Den Haag) in Den Haag. This marriage produced four children: Johannes Andreas (* 17.09.1804 in Den Haag, † 11.10.1887), Anna Maria (* 27.02.1804 in Den Haag), Matthias (Martinus) (* 30.10.1808 in Den Haag, † 25.01.1886 in Den Haag) and Henricus (* 31.05.1811 in Den Haag, †  1852).
